Welcome to WIMSI!

As two women working in the international maritime security sector, we struggled to find organizations that shared our passion for the work, and more importantly, our passion for advancing women engaged in maritime-related issues. Women In Maritime Security International - “WIMSI” - is our answer.

WIMSI is a community of practitioners, advocates, and pioneers. Our goal is to create a welcoming space for meaningful dialogue, shared opportunities, and career-oriented mentorship. In doing so, we will amplify the voices and actions of women and other underrepresented peoples operating in the maritime security domain.

Whether you are just starting your career or have years of experience and leadership to contribute, we hope you’ll join us in our vision to increase maritime security through relationship-building and innovative, women-driven solutions.

Jamie is an Institutional Capacity Building attorney focusing on maritime security in the Indo-Pacific region. In addition to her passion for building a network of like-minded women, she is passionate about security cooperation, food security, and maritime strategy that is fit for purpose.
